TATuP – Journal on Technology Assessment in Theory and Practice is the main scientific journal in the interdisciplinary field of technology assessment, including relevant fields of research such as systems analysis, risk assessment, practical ethics, research on sustainable development, innovation and technology analysis, or foresight. As a peer-reviewed open access journal TATuP addresses a broad readership from science, politics, the economy, and the public. Authors in TATuP write their articles scientifically precise and understandable for non-expert readers.
Each issue of the journal focuses on a specific topic with a number of peer-reviewed scientific papers in rubric THEMA. More peer-reviewed scientific papers follow in rubric FORSCHUNG. In other rubrics readers will find interviews, news and information from the Network TA.
TATuP has been published continuously since 1992. Beginning with issue 2017/1-2, the journal has been relaunched in cooperation with oekom verlag in Munich under its new name TATuP – Journal on Technology Assessment in Theory and Practice as a peer-reviewed open access journal.
Although a predominantly German-language journal, TATuP welcomes contributions in English. All scientific articles include English abstracts.
TATuP is published three times a year in print and online.
